Flamenco Dance Workshops
Flamenco dance tutor, Samantha Luisa (MA Dance Studies, distinction) trained and performed flamenco with Suite Española de Madrid, and La Fundacion, Sevilla, Spain. She began dancing professionally, aged eleven in London’s West End, and went on to tour Europe performing Teatro Sol Sevilla, Royal Opera House Moldova, Vinci Theatre France, Poseidonio Greece, Espinho Portugal, and Austria’s famous Design Centre. In London, she was principle flamenco dancer in Carmen at the Royal Albert Hall, and in the two year UK tour of Carmen opening at Leeds Castle. She recently danced in the BBC documentary Manet, the Man who Invented Modern Art, and in the DVD and 3D films of Carmen. For the past six years, she has performed yearly at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, and weekly in London’s West End. This year she published Reading Dance in the Musical.
She holds a PGCE, MA Dance (distinction) Dip. "Arte Flamenco" (distinction) Sam is a member of Equity and the Institute for Learning.

Learning Aim:
Our Flamenco Fever workshops aims to give learners an insight into flamenco dance through learning the basic components of flamenco dance within a sensitive and fun learning environment
Learning Objectives:
Creatively clap a flamenco rhythm
Make those caressing flamenco hand movements yourself
Blast away those tired feet with some furious foot-stomping!
