Samanta trained in flamenco dance in the Escuela Sevillana school of flamenco in Andalucia, Spain. At eleven years old, she began dancing professionally on TV and in London’s West End productions. She received dance scholarships from Royal Academy, Equity, Dancer’s Trust, London Contemporary, and graduated with Master of Arts Degree Dance (Distinction) London, and Specialisation Certificate Arte Flamenco (Distinction), Sevilla. Here she studied with flamenco greats: Merche Esmeralda, Milagros Menjibar, and Manolo Soler. She performed choreographies by Carmen Ledezma, Isabel Bayon, Hiniesta Cortes, Rafael Campallo, Javier Baron, at La Fundacion and Teatro Sol, Sevilla. In Portugal, she performed with Suite Española in “El Feticio de Gitana”; in Greece with Constandina & Stamatis Gonithez, in France at Vinci theatre, in London's Asian scene with Apache Indian, Shaktee, Golden Star, and in the West End with Catherine Zeta Jones. Awards include Ballyhoo Trophy (Best all-round dancer) & London Asian Forum Trophy. UK TV credits include “Campion”, “Top of the Pops”, "Blue Peter", “Access All Areas”, "U should be so Lucky", “The Word”, “From the Top”, "Dancing in the Street". Adverts include: Wrigleys, Glaxo, Häagen-Dazs, BT, Sky, Rover, San Miguel. Based in London, Samanta has choreographed flamenco for many UK events including Trafalgar Square's Record Breaking "BigDance", "Edinburgh Festival", "BigFest", "RISE Festival", and shows for Norwich and London City Halls. She is currently running dance classes in West London, touring with "El Aire", and performing in "Carmen" at the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden 2006/7. Fernando de Sevilla - Cantaor flamenco singer. Fernando was born in Andalucia, Spain and is now based in London. He sings authentic flamenco "chico" (light-hearted flamenco song) and "cante jondo" (deep song) with great passion. He has sung for many flamenco groups in London over the years, and at numerous festivals, events and theatres throughout London and UK. He has performed at the Barbican with Candela Flamenco from Brighton and recorded with them also. Other highlights include performing at the new amphi-theatre "The Scoop", London City Hall, and he is a favourite figure on London's flamenco scene. Fernando's stage credits include touring with the eight piece modern flamenco company "El Aire", which features Persian and flamenco song together with instruments such as the Ud, base guitar, cajon flamenco drum, Indian drum, three flamenco guitarists, (see shows page of this website). With flamencoshow.co.uk, his work is traditional flamenco in the authentic integration of dance song and guitar. We are delighted that Fernando will be performing with El Aire and flamencoshow.co.uk throughout 2006 and into 2007.

“Daniella del Sur” Flamenco dancer/ singer. Daniella adds a spirited air to our “Alegria Flamenca” show with her lively choice of palos (styles), castanet playing, and soulful flamenco singing. After many years training in Classical Ballet, Jazz Dance, Jive and Rock 'n' Roll, Daniella discovered the intricate beauty, the energy and the challenges of Flamenco Dance. Since 1991, she has trained with top class professional Flamenco dancers, and studied classical, regional and Flamenco styles through the SDS syllabus. In 1995 she became a regular performer and Committee Member of the Peña Flamenca de Londres. She has since taught Flamenco Dance Courses at a number of London venues, and provided ‘Taster’ Flamenco Dance, Music & Song performance-workshops which include audience participation, lecture & demonstration, at numerous UK schools. Daniella has performed at a variety of London functions including ‘Spanish Culture Day’, and as part of SPECTRUM, a ‘variety show celebrating cultural diversity’ at The Shaw Theatre in central London. For Inspiraçion Española, she performed the principal role of Lola in a Flamenco-ballet version of Manuel de Falla's “El Amor Brujo” – Flamenco Fire. In this production, Daniella devised the choreography for Manuel de Falla's magical “Habanero”. Her screen appearances include featuring in a DVLA “Customised Number Plates” commercial on SKY TV (playing the role of a Flamenco dancer whose number plate displays the letters ‘OLÉ’ !), and you may have spotted Daniella in the ITV drama “Too Good to be True”.

"Jorge de Veneras" - Guitarra This talented young musician began performing on stage as a child in the Richmond Youth Symphony Orchestra, and went on to graduate with BA hons Music in 2005 from Brunel University. He trained in flamenco guitar in the heart of Andalucian territory - El Barrio Santa Cruz de Sevilla, Jerez de la Frontera, and with Emilio Maya in Granada. Since moving back to London, Jorge has accompanied both flamenco cante (song) and baile (dance) in numerous shows. He's performed at a number of London Festivals and his stage credits include such venues as London's Costa Dorada Tablao, Pena Flamenca de Londres, Spanish Property Exhibitions, The Grand Hotel Brighton, the Barbican and London's famous South Bank Centre. Jorge has also toured Southern England with renowned flamenco dancer Christo Vivancoff from Barcelona, and collaborated on a Tango-fusion project that toured the Milonga venues of London.  He regularly accompanies London flamenco dance classes, teaches flamenco guitar, and gives private lessons and workshops in flamenco guitar. He has also recently become a visiting lecturer to UK colleges and Universities, providing workshops and performances in flamenco guitar, rhythm, and socio-cultural history.

Genevieve Wilkins is an Australian born freelance percussionist and music educator, and is based in London. She performs both as a soloist and in various world music, ensemble and orchestral positions. These have included Flamenca Fiesta, Alcazaba (Middle Eastern, North Indian and Flamenco Fusion), Candela (Celtish, Flamenco Fusion), Flamencoshow.co.uk, Tetrafide Percussion, Wood Music, Malaysian Philharmonic and West Australian Symphony Orchestra’s. Genevieve has collaborated with various well-known artists including Gavin Bryars, Yothu Yindi and Steve Schick.  Genevieve has performed in venues as diverse as remote communities in the Western Desert of Australia to the Sydney Opera House and the Southbank Centre in London. Genevieve graduated with a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Western Australia in 1997 and has since been awarded two postgraduate scholarships in performance.  These saw her study various musical philosophies under teachers such as Chris Lamb (New York Philharmonic/Manhattan School of Music), Duncan Patton (New York Met. Opera) and most recently Genevieve has travelled to Spain to study Flamenco Cajon with renowned drummer and percussionist Guillermo McGill.
